    • Let's promote our state --By Michael Printup, Watkins Glen International President-- Webster’s Dictionary defines tourism as “the practice of traveling for recreation, the guidance or management of tourists and the promotion or encouragement of touring.” Last year, tourism in New York State generated $6.4 billion in spending. Some 674,500 New Yorkers are employed via tourism dollars.  And how much does New York State spend to promote or encourage tourism?
